Franciscan Renewal Center
The Laudato Si’ Steering Committee at the Franciscan Renewal Center (The Casa) in Scottsdale, Arizona lead a reflection process to engage the wider staff in creating each year-long Action Plan. As a Franciscan organization, The Casa sought to align the 7 Laudato Si’ Goals with their Franciscan values in moving towards greater community engagement. Guiding questions included “How do we live out Laudato Si’?” and “Which of our Franciscan values can help us address issues of integral ecology?”

Franciscan Justice Circle - Southern California
The Southern California Franciscan Justice Circle created an Action Plan to guide their next steps and offer it as an example to other groups. In creating their plan, their main objective was to identify actions that everyone can participate in no matter where they live. Check out this Action Plan for great ideas of achievable steps for each of the 7 Laudato Si’ Goals.
San Luis Rey Secular Franciscan Fraternity
Through educational, formational and direct action opportunities, the San Luis Rey Secular Franciscan Fraternity has been actively engaging with Laudato Si’ themes for many years. Creating an Action Plan was one way of recording what’s been accomplished while looking ahead to what’s next. Working as a community, they identified 5 focus areas for their project outlines: plastics, solar, electric vehicles, food choices, gardens and local creation.
They share their Action Plan and project outlines in hopes that they would be helpful and encouraging for other groups.
